Greenwich Police say they were dispatched to the area of Frontage Road and Delavan Avenue on a report of a truck with its lights on parked in the middle of the road on Sunday, Oct. 20 around 5 a.m.
Officers approached the vehicle and allegedly observed the driver sleeping behind the wheel.
When speaking with the driver, identified as Javier Arellano, 22, of Norwalk, police say an alcoholic odor was detected.
Arellano was subsequently asked to participate in a series of field sobriety tests, which police say he did not pass.
Arellano was arrested and charged with illegal operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Nov. 4.
